Operation Christmas Child

Every November we collect boxes for Operation Christmas Child (OCC).  God is using this ministry across the world to reach children with His love.  We are excited to be able to play a part in this ministry.  This year the children and youth of Wickland packaged 22 boxes.  In addition numerous other boxes were brought in by church members and friends.  Wickland boxes collected this year (2111) have been distributed to Central African Republic and Sudan(South)

Gene and Alana Smith - New Tribes Ministry

Gene and Alana Smith gave the message during the morning service on June 26, 2011.  They will be moving to Paraguay for a life-time commitment to spread the Gospel to one of eight unreached tribes in the area.  This project is through the New Tribes Mission.  Wickland Baptist has currently pledged two years (2012 and 2013) support of this mission project.

Prayer Plus Partnership - Sokoto Fulani People of West Africa

WBC has committed to be a part in seeking to reach the Sokoto Fulani people with the Gospel of Jesus.  We are committed to:

PRAY - for the spread of the Gospel, the salvation of the Sokoto Fulani, and the establishment of a church.  We also pray for the missionaries on the field and for God to send more.

GIVE - financially through the Cooperative Program of the SBC and the Lottie Moon Chirstmas offering, and also of special items that missionaries cannot easily get while on the field, such as certain foods and periodicals.

GO - our first team went in 2006 and we are hoping to send another team in 2009.

What part will you play in reaching the Sokoto Fulani for Christ?
