Oneida Baptist Institute

Each year a group of volunteers serves at this Christian boarding school in eastern Kentucky. As God uses Oneida to reach youth for Him, we seek to support this ministry by helping to fulfill some of their needs. Both skilled and unskilled volunteer jobs are available.

This year's mission trip was held April 11 - 15. Food and lodging are be provided. All types of work at any skill level available meaning there is a place for you to volunteer. Watch for the announcement about next year's trip.

Pine Ridge Indian Reservation

A part of Wickland's mission projects includes the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the Southeast corner of South Dakota. Plum Creek Baptist Church of Taylorsville, KY has taken truckloads of items to this ministry each year for several years, and we have supported this ministry for a few years.

We have collected needed items such as:

Nonperishable food; such as, noodles, spaghetti, flour, salt, sugar, rice, beans, powdered milk, instant potatoes, all types of canned foods

Baby formula, diapers, and wipes

Sheets and blankets

Donations are collected late summer and taken to Taylorsville to be packed onto the trucks.
